The Campbells of Ardkinglas begin with Colin Og Campbell, the son of Colin Iongantach. His brother was Dougall Mor, the progenitor of the Campbells of Dunstaffnage and also Lord Duncan Na-Adh (Argyll) that carried on the “chiefly line”. Since both of those lines have tested R-BY58693, it is expected that Ardkinglas will be the same result.
Major Haplogroup expected: R-BY58693
The Project has two kits thought to descended from this line but there is a gap in the paper trail. The Y-DNA results are in line with the expectation. The cadet in question is Campbell of St. Catharine’s.
