The Campbells of Cawdor begin with Sir John Campbell, Thane of Cawdor, the son of the 2nd Earl Archibald Campbell of Argyll. We have shown that Lord Duncan’s brother Dougall Mor, the progenitor of the Campbells of Dunstaffnage and also multiple testers from the Auchinbreck line have tested with the R-BY58693 mutation. This branch, breaking off generations later, is expected to show the same results and more.
