The Campbells of Dunstaffnage begin with Dougall Mor Campbell, , the son of Colin Iongantach. His brother was Lord Duncan Na-Adh (Argyll) that carried on the “chiefly line”. Both of these lines have tested positive for the R-BY58693 mutation. The current head of Campbell of Strachur is descended from this family and came to Strachur via Campbell of Ederline. This is the current terminal haplogroup for this line.
