I’ve been doing genealogy for over 20 years. I began involving Y-DNA in my research around 2006 using distant cousins Y-DNA tests as proxy. I learned everything I could to help my research. I bought my own test in 2016 and upgraded the kit to BigY700 in 2018. The investment paid off in late 2024 when my haplogroup matched a descendant of the Campbells of Craignish.

My research has focused primarily on New York and New Jersey, and the Cowal Peninsula in Scotland. Through my work with the Project I have become familiar with Campbell families in Ayrshire, Scotland and County Down in North Ireland, in addition to the chiefly lines of Lochow, aka Campbell of Argyll.
