James Campbell, 5th of Keithock, served heir to his brother David Campbell in the lands of Keithock on 1 December, 1655, and m. to Katherine, daughter of Sir Gilbert Ramsay, of Bamff, (c/m 28 July, 1668 She m. secondly at Edinburgh on 10 August, 1685, to William Stewart, 2nd of Fungorth and Balleid,14 and had issue),
