Sir John Campbell, 2nd of Lundie, succeeded his father and was appointed to the office of Treasurer. He m. by 27 April, 1529, to Isabel, daughter of Andrew, 2nd Lord Gray, (she was widow of Sir James Scrimgeour, of Dudhope, by whom she had issue), when they had a Charter under the Great Seal for the lands of Balquhane, in the Sheriffdom of Renfrew, and had issue.
