Colin's second son Colin was first of Blythswood (Will recorded 16 May 1671 and 20th June 1680). The later 18th to 19th century house was destroyed to build Glasgow International Airport, just south of the Clyde and west southwest of the city.

Also became Provost of Glasgow like his father.
