  John Campbell, b. in July of 1785 and m. at Edinburgh on 3 July, 1807, to Catherine, daughter of John Logan of Knockslunnoch, (she d. in 1865). He qualified as a Doctor of Medicine. He was the yougest of 14 children, but only had one son himself.
